A REALISTIC WHAT I EAT IN A DAY (pt. 5)

A Realistic What I Eat in a Day

Here’s what a full day of eating looks like for me — balanced, satisfying meals that give me energy, support my workouts, and include plenty of foods I genuinely love.

I’m sharing for inspiration only, and hopefully you find a meal or two you’re excited to try! 🤍

Breakfast

Protein-Packed Sweet & Savory Breakfast 🍳

I love a breakfast that has a little bit of everything — something sweet, something savory, plenty of protein, fresh fruit, and carbs.

Greek yogurt topped with blueberries and cinnamon

Sweet potato hash browns from Strong Roots

1/2 protein bagel topped with peanut butter, banana, cinnamon and flaky salt

1 egg + egg whites, scrambled and topped with fresh herbs

Cortado with almond milk

Pre-workout snack

One thing that’s been a game changer for me is eating carbs right before my workouts.

I try to get in around 40g of carbs pre-workout, especially before strength training. Since doing this consistently, my workouts feel noticeably stronger and I don’t crash halfway through.

I like fast-digesting carbs before training for quick energy. Some of my go-tos are banana with honey, dried apricots, toast with cottage cheese and honey, and Medjool dates.

Pre-Workout Snack:

Medjool dates

Lunch

Smoked Paprika Oregano Shrimp with Greek Salad, Avocado & Rice 🍤

This shrimp is so simple but SO flavorful. I served it with rice, avocado, and a fresh Greek salad.

Smoked Paprika Oregano Shrimp

1 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined

1–2 tbsp olive oil

1½ tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp oregano

3/4–1 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

Fresh dill, for serving

Pat the shrimp dry, then toss with olive oil and all of the seasonings.

Coat a pan with a little olive oil and preheat over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 1½–2 minutes per side. Shrimp cooks FAST, so be ready to flip it! :)

Finish with lots of fresh dill.

Greek Salad

Tomato

Persian cucumber

Red onion

Feta cheese

Castelvetrano olives

Dressing

Olive oil

Red wine vinegar

Oregano

Kosher salt

Black pepper

Add everything to a bowl and toss with the dressing.

Afternoon Snack

Milk chocolate + jackfruit chips.

The jackfruit chips are from Costco and they are PHENOMENAL. If you see them, get them! 😅

Dinner

Dinner was a simple plate with a little bit of everything:

Buckwheat with butter and salt

Grilled chicken breast

Steamed cauliflower

Feta cheese

Edamame

Dill pickles

Strawberries, not pictured

Buckwheat is one of those foods I’ve been eating since I was a kid. It’s naturally gluten-free and one serving has around 4g of fiber and 5g of protein. I love it simply prepared with a little butter and salt.

Grilled Chicken Breast:
Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and season with salt, garlic powder and Siete Fajita Seasoning—I love this one! Heat a little oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F.

Dessert 🍓

A little sweet treat to end the night!

The Yasso Brownie Batter yogurt bar currently has a chokehold on me. SO good. 😅

And that’s it! A very realistic day of eating for me — simple meals, plenty of fresh foods, and things I genuinely enjoy eating.
