BANANA MATCHA LATTE
Ingredients:
1/2 ripe banana
1 Medjool date, pitted
3/4 cup unsweetened milk of choice
4g (2 tsp) ceremonial grade matcha powder
50g hot water (~160–170°F)
Pinch of flaky salt
Ice
Directions:
Soak your bamboo whisk in warm water for 1–2 minutes.
Add matcha to a bowl, pour in a little hot water, and whisk in a zig-zag motion until smooth. Add more water to reach 50g total and whisk again until light and foamy.
Blend milk, banana, date, and salt until smooth, about 1 minute (in 30-second increments).
Fill a glass with ice, pour in the matcha, then slowly pour the milk over for that layered look.
Optional: cinnamon on top, but I personally skip it, I love the banana flavor to shine here!!
